I became obsessed with silk quite some time ago and began experimenting to see which products I could create with it. But above all, I knew I wanted to create a brand with everything you need to look good at home, and I knew that silk pajamas would be a hit.
Let me set the scene for you: it's the year 2022. Herriet had just been born, but we had started our business with scented candles as our first produt. A new world opened up when I tried silk. It was love at first sight (or first touch). Silk was everything I needed to create pajamas that encouraged relaxation, luxury, and made everyone who wore it look fabulous even at home. Thus, the first silk pajama by Herriet was born, known as the Olivia silk pajama.
With a classic silhouette but designed to be comfortable, providing the perfect looseness, I was inspired by classic yet practical sets, ideal for both sleeping and a casual dinner. It was important to me that these pajamas could be worn together or separately—total versatility!
I've always liked men's pajamas and wanted to capture that loose essence while adding a fun touch to women's pajamas. That's why all long silk pajamas have an embroidered phrase on the collar, each one fitting a different personality. It took several trials until I found the perfect design.

Pajamas Needed A Change
Let's get to the point: Nowadays, there are countless stores where you can buy pajamas, and many low-cost brands have "the monopoly" in this industry. We find very cheap pajamas that seem amazing at first glance, but as soon as you wash them, they start to deteriorate. Or we find very expensive brands that few can afford. But where is the middle ground? This is where I saw an opportunity. I wanted sleepwear or loungewear that looked good, that was soft, elegant, and required absolutely no effort to look perfect. Ideally, we shouldn’t have to try too hard to look good but instead wear high-quality, comfortable garments that will help us without spending too much time thinking about it. What I wanted didn't exist, so I created it myself.

Softness Guides Us
Softness encourages relaxation and provides better rest, an important part of our mission. It's not just the fabric; we prioritize comfort in the elastics, measurements, and labels. Everything must pass a softness test. No tightness or itchiness.
We use the best quality mulberry silk with 22 momme, grade 6A. What is momme? It’s the density of the silk: more mommes means richer silk. The Olivia silk pajama collection embodies this. I had found the fabric; now I needed the pattern and the design. We worked with a tailoring workshop in Galicia, Spain, on every detail and achieved a loose-fitting pajama that doesn't cling to the body and has a beautiful drape. Working with silk isn't easy, but it's worth it.
